 King has won 39 Grand Slam titles in tennis. She goes beyond sports to be community builder, working to fight for women’s and LGBTQ+ rights. She started a nonprofit that focuses on equal opportunities in the workplace, and co-founded a foundation that works to give girls opportunities in sports. King was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009 by President Obama for her work.
