Fiver Celebrates 25 Years at Annual Benefit
Dear Fiver Friends,
We recently came together to celebrate Fiver’s 25th Anniversary Benefit, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community—both in the room and from afar—we surpassed our $1 million fundraising goal. This powerful milestone will directly benefit the youth and families we serve, helping to sustain and expand our impact across New York.
We kicked off the night by honoring Erika L. Weinberg, on behalf of Latham & Watkins LLP, and then celebrated Eric and Kyuri Weng as recipients of the Richard Adams Leadership Award. We also celebrated Jonathan Jean-Pierre ’11, a proud Fiver alumnus, as the recipient of the Thomas and Heather Tucker Visionary Award. During the program, we were thrilled to announce that, effective July 1, he will serve as Vice Chair of our Board of Directors, alongside Michèle Lallemand Brazil, who will begin her term as Chairperson.
One of the most moving moments of the evening came from Kayla Collins, a 2019 Fiver alumna and current third-year law student at Pace University. Kayla shared her powerful story of joining Camp Fiver reluctantly as a child and how that experience transformed into a decade of connection, growth, and discovery. Her words captured the very essence of what Fiver aims to do—empower young people to step outside their comfort zones and become their best selves.
This year’s Benefit also marked our first sit-down dinner in several years, creating a warm and festive atmosphere to reconnect and reflect. The night continued with a high-energy live auction and an inspiring paddle raise—both contributing significantly to the evening’s success.
Toward the close of the program, we honored Fiver’s Emeritus Board of Directors with the Richard Adams Leadership Award, recognizing their decades of dedication and the foundation they laid for our success. Immediately afterward, we paid tribute to our founder, Tom Tucker, presenting him with a commemorative plaque and celebrating the 25-year history of Fiver—a history that has impacted the lives of more than 1,800 young people across New York.
Thank you again to all who joined us in celebrating, and we look forward to continuing Fiver’s longstanding success and legacy of empowering young people to lead lives of purpose and possibility.
And a special thank you to our sponsors below who made this amazing celebration of our work possible.
