Together Again: Alumni Reunion & Class of 2025 Induction

On January 10th, the Fiver office filled with laughter, camp songs, and the kind of reconnections that only happen when alumni come home. Some returned for the first time in years. Others walked through the doors like they had never left. Together, they celebrated the induction of the Class of 2025 and the community that continues to grow year after year.

The evening centered on reflection. Tyrese Tillman, Session 1 graduate, brought the room back to where it all began. He remembered arriving at Fiver at eight years old, “young, impressionable, and honestly, scared” What once felt unfamiliar became the place where his confidence took root. As I reflect on my ten years at Fiver… the most important thing that grew within me… was my confidence.”

He spoke about the mentors who guided him, the lessons that carried him through challenges, and the opportunities that prepared him for the future, including Internship and Investment Camp. His message to his peers was clear: “Being an alumni is not the end, it’s just the beginning”.

Nathalie Perez-Trinidad, Session 2 graduate, reflected on the spaces where she discovered her strength. Ever since I started camp, I’ve considered Fiver my second home.

She spoke about stepping outside her comfort zone on wilderness trips and beginning to envision her future during college visits. For Nathalie, becoming an alum carries responsibility. “Becoming an alumni means staying connected and giving back to the program that has supported me through so much of my life”

Their reflections are matched by remarkable achievement, as the Class of 2025 reached an extraordinary milestone: 100% of eligible Fiver graduates completed high school, and 86% pursued college; with the rest entering the workforce or military service.

The night also marked a powerful full-circle moment. Mabel Munoz, Class of 2015 alumna and now Fiver’s Senior Operations Manager, stood to address the newest alumni: Fiver isn’t just something you complete… it is something you carry with you.

She reminded the graduates that growth often happens quietly and that the “small wins” and ordinary days matter. Most importantly, she welcomed them with open arms into a community that does not end at graduation.

And that is what made the evening so meaningful. It was not simply a ceremony. It was alumni welcoming alumni, regardless of graduation year, connected by shared experiences, shared values, and a shared commitment to carrying Fiver forward. Congratulations, Class of 2025. Your next chapter begins, and you will always have the Fiver community behind you!
