Purdy lost both of her legs below the knee at a young age. Instead of letting this stop her, she trained to snowboard with prosthetic legs and won a gold medal at the 2018 Paralympic Games. She also competed on Dancing With the Stars. Regarding her life’s challenges, Purdy said, “The obstacles in our life can only do two things: stop us in our tracks or force us to get creative”
