All Fiver kids participate in the Whole Self Program, a unique character development program designed to empower children to become contributing members and leaders in the Fiver community and in their home communities. Through group activities, discussion, and individual goal-setting, the program promotes children's understanding of and appreciation for the five qualities valued at Fiver:

Friend
Individual
Valuable team player
Environmentalist
Risk Taker

These characteristics and 12 associated values are reinforced throughout the day at Camp Fiver through activities, self-progress reports, and the thought for the day. Campers are encouraged to be "Fivers" and at the end of their session they are honored individually for exhibiting one of the 12 associated values in the Whole Self Ceremony.

Five Characteristics and Twelve Associated Values:

Friend: Caring and Compassionate, Trustworthy

   Individual: Self-Confident, Responsible, Creative

Valuable Team Player: Peacemaker, Participates Fully

Environmentalist: Takes Care of the Earth, Community-Builder

Risk-Taker: Courageous, Always Learning and Growing

Fiver's character education curriculum is reinforced year-round by our community partners.
